lyrics

The Knight And Lady’s Honor

1. The oddball knight today has a great tourney,
And after that - a solemn feast.
He will fight braver than Dragon
For the honor of the noblest Lady!
His horse will be faster than whirlwind,
His armor will shine brighter than light.
His damask will not know the fail,
Because he is the greatest knight!

Male:
But where is the armor?
I cannot find it!
Where did I lost it
In the last year?
Where are my sword,
My visor and helmet?
Where did I put them,
I do not remember at all!

Chorus:
Such glorious past and such brilliant future
The world hasn’t known a man so posh and brave!
There’s such a profession – it is now called a knight
There’s such a calling, such is the fate!

2. In the garden under the bench
In the mud and in the dust
The visor, the helmet, and heavy armor

Three hours later were finally found.
A terrible damask was found in kitchen -
The lady cook often cut meat with it.
But then the fuss at the stables rose:
The armor was found, but the horse had been lost!

Male:
But when the sun met the hill
In the distance
The armor had been worn,
The horse had been caught.
I galloped to the tourney
Like an arrow!
Alas! There's nobody in the field.

Bridge:
The tourney was over a long time ago
And even the feast came to its end.
The Lady conceived a horrible revenge -
And took defenseless honor back.

Chorus:
Such glorious past and such brilliant future
The world hasn’t known a man so posh and bright!
And do not even wish him any fortune and fame:
He cannot have a different life!
